Sourdough Baking and Artisan Bread

Introduction to Sourdough, Artisan and Wood Fired Baking 1
Join our most popular class! Tame the wild yeast! Learn to create and maintain a sourdough starter. Discuss essential artisan bread-making techniques – understand gluten and mixing processes. Make a variety of long fermented breads such as Sunflower Miches, sourdough rye, overnight focaccia, ciabatta and pizza. Light the wood-fired brick oven. Mill fresh flour to use in the workshop. Students will take home a variety of artisan breads.
